Providing
your own First Aid Courses
Many businesses are choosing to provide their
first aid and manual handling training in house
for logistical and financial reasons.
High staff turnover and re-training can make ensuring
that you comply with regulations using an outside
training company and expensive option.
Shift work can make organising courses very difficult
and time consuming especially when you need to
arrange for a minimum amount of staff to attend
to achieve discounts on your courses.
Not many businesses can honestly say that they
haven't paid for courses that their staff were
unable to attend, if you bring your training in-house
you won't be throwing good money down the drain.
Many companies are put off of training in house
for the following reasons:-
They do not have any staff who are able to prepare
the training materials and courses for First Aid
and Manual Handling.
They are unsure that the courses they will provide
give them the quality of training they require
to cover all of their responsibilites under the
Health and Safety Legislation.
They need to run Health and Safety Approved courses
and becoming an HSE approved centre can costs
thousands of pounds and takes months of hard work
to achieve with no guarantee of success.
These are real issues, many First Aid Instructor
Courses and Manual Handling Courses do require
the preperation of your own First Aid Training
materials and it will take a considerable amount
of time and money to gain approval for an HSE
Centre.
The training system we will teach you to use is
approved by the Health and Safety Executive,
you will be able to run the full range of courses
within weeks of your chosen member or members
of staff completing the training.
The courses are already written, your Instructor
will be taught how to use the pre-approved teaching
system, all of the leg work has already been done,
there is an Instructor Manual included in the
price of the course and a DVD and there are high
quality student manuals available.
You will be issuing your staff with a pre-approved
internationally recognised certification, so you
can rest assured that you are covering all of
your obligations regarding First Aid.
